Olympic Football
Football is the most popular sport in the world and, as such,it has been played as part of every Olympics except for in 1896 and 1932. Women’s soccer was added to the Olympics in 1996 and it has been a part of every Games since then. Football is often contested in a variety of stadiums across the Olympics host country and the same is true for Olympic football at the London 2012 Games. Sixteen teams will compete in the Olympic football contest on both the men's and women's side. In the men's Olympic football competition all players except for thre must be under the age of 23. There are no age limits on the women's side.
Football Venue
Football will be held across the UK with finals at Wembley Stadium.
